Capitol Corps

Members of the Capitol Corps discuss bills and strategy at the Capitol

SEE our Legislative Information page of the website which includes 2008 Legislative Contact Information!

Get involved!  Join the Connecticut Coalition on Aging and receive up-to-date information in our "Legislative Bulletin."  Better still, join us in the cafeteria of the Legislative Office Building on Tuesday, 10:00 AM, every day that the Legislature is in session.

The Capitol Corps meets every Tuesday during the Legislative Session from 10:00 AM to Noon.  Gather in the Cafeteria in the Legislative Office Building next to the State Capitol in Hartford for coffee and ... look for the people with the CCOA name tags.

EVERYONE is welcome who wants to be active in support of issues on aging.

Those attending review proposed legislation, plan testimony for hearings on behalf of the Coalition based on our priorities and plan follow-up action.

At 11:00 AM we move to the Conference Room of the Select Committee on Aging.

SELECT COMMITTEE OFFICES:  The Select Committees are located in the basement of the main Capitol Building.  From the Legislative Office Building lobby, take the corridor toward the Capitol.  Near the bottom of the escalator, turn right, look for the signs past the elevators.  The Conference Room is on the left beyond the entrance door to the Select Committees offices.  You may get help from the Information Desk near the Legislative Office Building main entrance.

PARKING:  The Coalition will reimburse you for mileage and parking costs.  For reimbursement, send a record of your mileage and parking receipts to:

Ned Skinnon, Director
West Hartford Senior Center
Town Hall  2nd Floor
